Have A Hidden Talent? S.M.I.L.E. Want To Hear From You!

We love hearing about the fun and exciting activities hosted by the charities we work with. This time, S.M.I.L.E. London & Essex are proudly hosting a talent show!

S.M.I.L.E stands for Support, Motivate, Invest, Lead, and Evolve…and that’s exactly what they help to do. In their mission statement, they say:

“We are keen believers that support should come from the community and community led projects. This is how S.M.I.L.E was started, it has now grown from a one woman project run from the lounge of a 1 bedroom flat, into a registered charity with multiple distribution sites across London and Essex. We support 22 family hostels throughout the 2 counties with targeted appeals as well as general clothing and toiletries. With thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund we have been able to invest in our Welcome Home project where we provide essential household items to improve the transition when clients move from Hostel to Home.”

The community talent show is being held on Friday 26th August 2022 at MyPlace Youth and Community Centre in Harold Hill, Romford, and they are looking for talent in all shapes and forms, from singers and dancers to comedians and magicians…everyone is welcome to audition!

The show is 100% free to enter and audience tickets are now on sale

Don’t fancy entering yourself but know someone who should? Send them this article and make sure they audition! Entries can be sent to S.M.I.L.E. via email, WhatsApp, or social media platforms (all can be found on their website) and the deadline for entries is 3rd August 2022, so don’t be late!

For those who pass the first round, there will be a public vote as well as a judging panel to determine the winners. Still on the fence? How about the promise of a cash prize for the Over 18 Winners and shopping vouchers for the Under 18 Winners!

Did that hook your interest? We thought it might!

There’s no better time for it so don’t delay and send your entry in now!
