Navigator North: Celebrating Hidden Middlesborough

A while back, we published a news story shining a light on the fantastic work Navigator North have been doing in an aid to celebrate and bring attention to Middlesborough’s cultural heritage through their ‘Celebrating Hidden Middlesborough’ project.

Since then, Navigator North have been doing lots of work in the background and have recently released a brand new film they have commissioned as part of Middlesbrough’s High Street Heritage Action Zone in 2022.

The film, produced by Squeaky Pedal, offers an insight into the people and places that Navigator North had the pleasure of working with over the last 18 months.

Accompanying the film, they have this to say:

“From radical nostalgia and the warrior women of Middlesbrough, to dancing in the shadows of railway bridges, memories of chicken sandwiches in The Masham and the industrial heritage of a town that built the world – this film is a tribute to the creativity and pride that is so synonymous with Middlesbrough.”
