EVENT ALERT: Film & Performance Scratch Night

Are you an artist, filmmaker, or performer wanting to ‘test’ a current work-in-progress on a live audience? Then why not come down to Unit 8, Telford Street Retail Park, Carsegate Road, Inverness, IV3 8EX on Saturday 22nd April and unleash your creativity on the crowd in a Scratch Night hosted by CiRCUS ARTSPACE!

CiRCUS ARTSPACE is an artist-run organisation established in Inverness, in 2019.  They support emergent artists through our graduate programmes and are committed to building broader access to contemporary visual arts in the Scottish Highlands.

So…what is a Scratch Night?

As mentioned above, a Scratch Night is an evening designed to give artists the opportunity to ‘test’ a current work on a live audience. The work presented is usually in the early stages of development although CiRCUS have also expressed that they are happy to include completed works that haven’t been shown in the Highlands before. Each artist or collective will have up to 15 minutes in which to present their film or performance work.

The artists featured include:

Connor Curran O’Hara, Casey Francis, Elaine Chisholm, Ren Kilpatrick, Srija Shrestha, Tyler Galvao, and Gemma Petrie…as well as members of the CiRCUS committee!

With free car parking, ground floor access, and a wheelchair accessible toilet, everyone is welcome at CiRCUS.

Oh, and one more thing…ENTRY IS FREE!

So if you’re not a performer and just fancy a fun evening then please do pop in!

It will surely be an event not to miss, so come down to CiRCUS ARTSPACE this Saturday and join us for an evening brimming with creativity! What’s not to love?!
