Simon Roberts Exhibition: Private View

Chester Visual Arts is pleased to invite you to attend the private view of acclaimed British photographer Simon Roberts.

His first exhibition in Chester is named: ‘How did we get here? / Where do we go now?’ and will be held at The Grosvenor Shopping Centre, Pepper House, Suite 7, 2ndhttps://hammondassociates.org Floor, Pepper St, Chester CH1 1EA – a space procured by Hammond Associates.

This will be an unmissable evening with a unique opportunity to meet with Simon Roberts and enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of this thought-provoking exhibition, and will be open 5:30-8:30pm Wednesday – Sunday from 19 May until 30 June 2023…Oh, and refreshments will be provided!

Exploring the current state of Britain and the society we live in, this new cultural event presents the latest works of Simon Roberts that touch on prevalent and contentious topics. Experience a showcase of breathtaking tableaux images of the British landscape that portray a unique perspective on modern life in Britain, reflecting both the lure and challenges of living in a rapidly changing society.

Featuring Simon’s latest works, the exhibition aims to encourage an open discussion about the function of the British High-Street as the future use of urban spaces is increasingly debated, as well as presenting an opportunity for the public to let their voices be heard in a response piece ‘The Public Gallery’. This opportunity will allow visitors to participate whilst exploring diverse and complex ideas as it taps into social and economic issues and acting as a catalyst for important conversations.
